Minecraft Rules

ShaftMC Network Rules:

The ShaftMC Network aims to foster a safe, fair, and engaging environment for all players. These rules apply across the network unless stated otherwise. Our goal is not to police players harshly, but to ensure gameplay stays fun, respectful, and balanced. If something is unclear, use common sense and ask staff when in doubt.

• Chat & Communication Rules:
  • Spam / Chat Flooding - Repeating letters or phrases excessively, using glitchy fonts, or sending gibberish messages isn’t allowed. 
  • Toxicity / Verbal Abuse - Extreme rudeness or personal attacks are not tolerated. Friendly banter is fine, but keep it respectful. • Harassment - Repeatedly targeting or trying to embarrass others. • NSFW / Graphic Chat - Sexual jokes or adult topics that go too far will lead to punishment. 
  • Discrimination / Hate Speech - Any racist, homophobic, or otherwise hateful comments are banned. 
  • Triggering Topics - Avoid self-harm, suicide, or disturbing references. Encouraging harm is taken seriously. 
  • Non-English Chat - Public chat should stay in English so staff can moderate fairly. Other languages are fine in DMs / private (/msg). 
  • Discussing Staff Matters - Any discussion about confidential staffing information is strictly prohibited. 
  • Advertising - Promoting other servers, Discords, or unrelated content is not allowed. 
  • Leaking Info - Don’t share personal info (names, locations, etc).
• Game Offenses (All Gamemodes):
  • Hacked Clients / Blacklisted Modifications - Any clients / mods that give you an advantage are not allowed. 
  • Bug Abuse - Exploiting any mechanics that are not intentional that affect gameplay/server stability is not allowed. 
  • Duping / Exploiting - Duplicating items or bypassing mechanics unfairly. 
  • Spreading Duped Items - Giving out large quantities of exploited items knowingly. 
  • NSFW Builds / Skins / Items - Inappropriate usernames, builds, or custom items aren’t allowed. 
  • IRL Trading - No selling/trading items for money or items on other servers. You can trade for stuff on the webstore though. 
  • Scamming - Scamming involving real money or ranks is not allowed. Scamming in-game items is allowed - be careful who you trust. 
  • Punishment Evasion - Using alternate accounts or VPNs to avoid bans/mutes. 
  • Mega Farms - Farms like ghast, raid, or shulker farms that cause lag are not allowed. Medium farms (iron, sugarcane, etc.) are allowed if they don’t hurt performance. 
• Discord Rules: 
  • NSFW Profiles - No inappropriate names, banners, or PFPs. 
  • NSFW / Gore Links - No graphic or sexual content. 
  • Support Abuse - Don’t fake tickets or troll support. 
  • Falsifying Evidence - Do not edit screenshots or create fake reports. 
  • Discord TOS Violations - No token grabbers, DM spam, or 3rd party client abuse. Follow discord TOS. 
  • Alt Evasion - Avoiding bans/mutes on Discord is not allowed.

Lifesteal Rules:

• Stat Boosting  - Killing alts or friends repeatedly is bannable. 
• Heart Boosting  - Using an alt/friend to give you hearts is not allowed. 
• Combat Log Glitches - Pearl glitching or other bug-related escape methods from PvP are banned. Stasis chambers / any vanilla escape methods are allowed.

While these rules cover most situations, staff may still take action against behavior not explicitly listed here if it is clearly malicious, harmful, or suspicious in intent. Just because something isn’t written explicitly in the guidelines doesn’t mean it’s automatically allowed - use common sense.
